Environmental Justice Advisory Group

EJAG Information

The Valley Air District holds regular meetings of the Environmental Justice Advisory Group (EJAG). These meetings are an opportunity for community leaders or interested individuals to learn about upcoming District rules, programs and issues coming before the District's Governing Board. These meetings are to encourage grass roots participation in District activities and outreach, and to ensure that all of the populations of the Valley are enfranchised in all aspects of the District’s mission.

The EJAG consists of 13 members. All members must be residents of the San Joaquin Valley. Eight of these members are at-large county representatives. Two are ethnic, small-business owners. Three of these members are CAC members, one representing each of the three CAC interest groups. Members of the EJAG are deemed volunteers and are not entitled to any compensation from the District.

EJAG meetings are held at the Central Region Office, VTC Room, 1990 E. Gettysburg Ave., Fresno. To encourage public participation, the EJAG meetings are held via the District’s video teleconferencing system and can be attended in the Central Region Office (Fresno), the Northern Region Office (4800 Enterprise Way, Modesto), or the Southern Region Office (34946 Flyover Court, Bakersfield).

All correspondence and telephone calls for the EJAG should be directed to the District’s Clerk to the Boards, at 1990 E. Gettysburg Avenue, Fresno, CA 93726, (559) 230-6000
