Public Notification

Facilities determined to be a high risk to nearby receptors based on the results of their Health Risk Assessment (HRA) are required to notify those exposed persons, through the District’s Public Notification process. A facility is classified as high risk if their cancer risk is equal to or greater than 10 in a million and/or if their non-cancer acute or chronic hazard indices greater than 1.
