Air Toxics Program

Risk Reduction

Facilities with a cancer risk greater than 100 in a million and/or a non-cancer hazard index greater than 5 must prepare and implement a risk reduction audit and plan. The plan must be prepared as defined under California Health and Safety Code section 44391. Some airborne toxic risk reduction measures (ATRRM) include process or feedstock modifications, product reformulations, product system modifications, system enclosures and emissions control, and operational standards and practices modifications.
