What is the timeline for eTRIP Rule implementation?

The eTRIP Rule is phased in over several years, and the District has committed to providing support to employers to make implementation simple and successful. The first eTRIP Rule implementation milestone is Employer Registration, which is due to the District by July 1, 2010. Employers will be able to register online, with registration options available no later than May 1, 2010.

eTRIP

The District will be providing guidance documents, training opportunities, and other turnkey resources for a variety of eTRIP measures.

The District will also provide eTRIP templates and online reporting options no later than July 1, 2011.

An eTRIP is phased in over several years:

Phase 1 is due to the District by September 1, 2011, with implementation by January 1, 2012.

Phase 2 is due by to the District by September 1, 2012, with implementation by January 1, 2013.

Phase 3 is due to the District by September 1, 2013, with implementation by January 1, 2014.

Subsequent updates are submitted with the Annual Report.

Commute Verification The District will provide templates as well as electronic template and reporting options by September 1, 2013. Once per year, every calendar year starting January 1, 2014.
Annual Report The District will provide guidance, resources, and an online reporting system by September 1, 2014. Employers will submit Commute Verification results and eTRIP revisions by March 31, starting in 2015.
