Program Overview

Ready to take on your lawn and garden with a clean green yard machine? The Clean Green Yard Machines Residential Rebate Program (Residential CGYM) provides two flexible options for rebates to San Joaquin Valley residents. Replace an old gas/diesel -powered lawn mower with a new electric lawn mower or purchase new electric powered landscape equipment for your yard! Residents of the following counties are eligible to apply: Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tulare, and the Valley Air Basin portion of Kern County.

The District has partnered with several dismantlers located throughout the San Joaquin Valley to fully implement the program in your area. Please view the following list of dismantlers to locate a dismantler near you.

Incentive

Eligible rebate amount is based on the purchase price of the lawn care equipment and excludes additional costs such as taxes, fees, accessories and delivery charges.

Option 1

Purchase of new electric lawn mower (destroying old mower)

Enhanced incentives, up to $500.00, are available to residents of the selected AB617 Communities of Shafter, Stockton, South Central Fresno, and Arvin/Lamont (Option 1 only). Check your address for eligibility:
South Central Fresno, Shafter, Stockton, Arvin/Lamont.

*Applicant will be responsible for a minimum of 50% of the purchase price for mowers priced $200 or less.

Option 2

Purchase of new lawn care equipment (no old equipment being destroyed)

*Blowers are not eligible. Applicants are responsible for a minimum of 50% of the purchase price.

Rebate Process

Purchase an eligible new electric lawn care equipment

Option 1

(destroying old mower)

Within 30 calendar days from the date of purchase, take your old lawn mower to a participating dismantler for inspection and a Destruction Verification Form.

Complete the rebate application and submit it to the District along with a copy of the Destruction Verification Form and receipt or invoice for the new lawn mower.

Option 2

(no old equipment being destroyed)

Complete the rebate application and submit it to the District along with a copy of the receipt or invoice for the new electric equipment.
